You can prevent a carpenter bee infestation by doing the following:
- Clean up any wood piles on your property so that they have no place to nest.
- Keep grass and tree branches on your lawn well trimmed and mowed.
- Use paint or varnish on exposed wood surfaces, such as on windows and doors.
- Seal cracks and holes in exterior walls with caulk.
