
Crickets reproduce by laying eggs. Female crickets lay their eggs on vegetation or in soil that is moist enough to keep the eggs from drying out. The female cricket then covers the eggs with a thin layer of dirt. After hatching, baby crickets crawl away from the nest and look for food.
